Introducing Captain Bob’s Log

Hey World! I am starting a new blog on WordPress. I used to watch Star Trek years ago and, since I really am a “Captain” the idea of a “Captain’s Log” appeals to me.

Se here we go with Captain Bob’s Log!

We had a fantastic ride on our BMW motorcycles yesterday. Went up through the Whittier Hills and then east on the 60 Freeway out to the I 15. Took I 15 up to CA 138 & then up the hill to Crestline.

The weather was cool with a full overcast until our stop at McDonald’s  at I 15/138 for coffee. Then the sun started peeking through. On our way up to Crestline we stopped at the Lake Silverwood overlook.

After a wonderful breakfast at Paula’s Place in Crestline we rode by Lake Gregory & then took the 189 to Lake Arrowhead Village. From there we went up the 173 to the 18 (Rim of the World Highway) and then, after ArrowBear, we turned off for Grass Valley Lake.

After a short stop we got back on the 18 and rode East to Big Bear Lake stopping at Boulder Bay. Then on down the 38 through Redlands to the freeway system & back home.

I posted a few photos on Facebook:!/bob.koehler?sk=photos

All in all a very nice day with great company!
